AUB Headquarters
A foundation for the future
Our
headquarter building in Al-Seef district of Bahrain is a symbol of
our commitment to banking in Bahrain and the Gulf region.
Construction of the new headquarters building commenced in August
2002 and offices were occupied in early 2004.
In addition to
Board of Directors and senior management facilities, the
Headquarters building includes a full service branch facility and
the Group support functions of Audit, Compliance, IT &
Operations, Finance and Human Resources. It also hosts the central
platform for managing the Private Banking and Wealth Management
business across the Gulf, as well as the treasury, commercial
banking and retail banking departments.
Ahli United Bank
continues to maintain a full service branch presence in Government
Avenue to cater to its clients' needs.
The building includes
a total of 10,000 sq. m. of work space in two wings, known as the
Sweet Water and Salt Water wings – derived from the unique sources
of water in the seas around Bahrain. It incorporates a 300 sq. m.
banking hall and safety deposit facility. The atrium extends the
full four storeys of the building and features two panoramic lifts
and a staircase linking to office floors above.
The building
is not only architecturally dramatic but is designed in such a way
that it creates a pleasant, healthy and functional work
environment.
In anticipation of traffic congestion problems,
the new headquarters provides ample parking facilities for both
staff and visiting customers. A total in excess of 250 spaces is
available in both surface and multi-storey parking. A portion of
these spaces has been allocated to customers enabling fast and
convenient access to the banking hall.
The building also has
a new IT center including state-of-the art IT, telecommunication and
multimedia facilities. A large, well equipped training and
conference suite is on the top floor. The design also incorporates
modern security features to ensure the protection and safety of all
occupants and visitors.
